Pub Church - Week 3
Based on the growth rate of over 500% since it's
inception, Waco Pub Church could be the fastest growing church in world.

OK that actually comes down to 2 people the first week, 5 people the second
week, & 11 people tonight. But I think more importantly, there was a broader
impact. I had a conversation about church with the bartender. The DJ that
was setting up said that he listened in on some of what we were talking
about and liked it. We overheard it being mentioned in some other
conversations.
We did create a little structure this week. After some time of meeting and
getting to know each other better, I talked about my background of faith and
that this was an attempt to create a way for people to connect to a
community of faith who didn't feel connected elsewhere. I talked about my
favorite 2 scriptures: Jesus' response to the question of the greatest
commandment (love) and his response to the woman caught in adultery (no
condemnation, but a call away from sin). We sang a song, In the Secret, then
read the lyrics to David Crowder's Come and Listen based on Psalm 66:16.
Invited others to share next time and to invite others who need a
connection. Ended with a prayer.
I'm not sure of what the next week will bring, but I know that God has made
an amazing difference in life.
That is what I hope to share.
Come and listen.
Come to water's edge all you who are thirsty, come.
Let me tell you what He has done for me.
Let me tell you what He has done for me,
He has done for you,
He has done for us.
Come and listen,
Come and listen to what He has done.
Praise our God for He is good.
He has done for me,
He has done for you,
He has done for us.
Come and listen,
Come and listen to what He has done.
