Down With Christmas

We finally took down the Christmas tree today. The outside lights have been down for a bit. Sherri felt good about consolidating the ornament packing so we've got less boxes to store overall. We've got a bunch of lights that we didn't even open so we should have plenty for the next couple of years. All that's left is getting the boxes down to the storage building.

It's always a little sad to "put away Christmas." The decorations do lend to a light and happy state of mind. The holidays being in the middle of the week made December seem like a weekend that lasted a month.

So back to normal life, whatever that may be. Maybe we should make all the months of the year like an Advent calendar. Each day could hold a little something special.
