Reconnecting

I often write about priorities, connection, involvement, and commitment. None of this stuff happens by accident. Each one of us has the final say for how we spend our time and energy. Other people will gladly fill your schedule with what they want. The thing that will outlast any team, sport, project, or task is relationships. And, good or bad, they do continue. If we put all our efforts into temporary things, we may satisfy our own needs for a while, but we can damage the relationships that continue to exist whether we pay attention to them or not. This applies to friends, family, and God. God is always ready to welcome us back into relationship, but we may have a tougher time with friends and family. In all cases, it's probably more healthy to stay connected to begin with. But if you have disconnected from people that are important to you, take the first step back. Send a message, make a call, go visit, do something TOGETHER. That little electronic device in your pocket or purse probably gives you the ability to make a connection with just about any person that you would like. And as for God, He's already there.

Be Blessed!
